【TVP Gov Fund】Significant Cost Reduction in Web Desgn

Looking to enhance your company’s competitiveness through web design services but facing budget constraints? Since 2016, the government has launched TVP funding to support local enterprises and organizations in their digital transformation efforts. 

This initiative funds companies to improve productivity and upgrade their businesses through technological services. Many eligible companies hesitate to apply due to perceived complexities in the approval process and lengthy wait times, missing out on valuable funding. 

However, with proper preparation, you can successfully apply within three months. This guide will explain the TVP and its application process to help your business secure funding and boost productivity.

What is TVP Funding?

TVP provides project funding at a ratio of 3:1 (government: enterprise). Each company can receive funding for up to six projects, with a total funding cap of HK$600,000. Eligible technological services include web design, IT consultancy, and the purchase or rental of customized equipment or software.

Can I Apply for TVP?

To qualify for TVP, your enterprise must be registered or incorporated in Hong Kong and have substantive business operations in Hong Kong. Listed companies and government-funded enterprises are not eligible.

Detailed Requirements:

(a)(i) Registered under the Business Registration Ordinance (Cap. 310) in Hong Kong; or

(a)(ii) Incorporated under the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622) in Hong Kong; or

(a)(iii) Established under relevant ordinances in Hong Kong as a statutory body; and

(b) Not a government-funded organization* or a subsidiary of any government-funded organization*; and

(c) Have substantive business operations related to the project in Hong Kong at the time of application.

What Are the Application Steps?

Prepare the following documents to expedite the approval process. First, register as a user of the TVP management system, then submit your application through the system. Upon project approval and signing the funding agreement, you must complete the project within 12 months and submit the final report to receive the funds.

Required Documents:

  1. Copy of Business Registration Office Form 1(a)/1(c) or Companies Registry Annual Return (Form NAR1)
  2. Proof of substantive business operations
  3. Copy of a valid Hong Kong ID or passport of the applicant (the individual signing the application)
  4. Signed copy of the Integrity and Non-collusion Confirmation
  5. Copies of project quotations
